Modified Proteinases provide you with greater control of protein fragmentation due to stable and consistent enzymatic activity throughout the entire digestion period, up to 36 hours.
Immobilized Proteinases are prepared by TPCK treatment followed by immobilization onto 0.2 µm silica gel beads, using a proprietary covalent chemical immobilization procedure. This results in an extremely high retention of enzyme activity.
Importantly, emp BIOTECH Immobilized Proteinases allow the use of high enzyme to substrate ratios (up to 1:10). Immobilized proteinase is quantitatively removed from the digestion products by pelletizing in a simple centrifugation step.
