Desalting and buffer exchange products

Our diverse range of columns and plates can be used to process sample volumes of 2 µL – 100 ml. They are specially designed for the rapid and efficient separation of small molecules (dyes, salts, biotin, haptens, etc.) from larger proteins, nucleic acids, or nanoparticles. These are simultaneously purified and desalted or buffer exchanged in a single step.

Ultrapure gel and specially treated sinter frits ensure outstanding resolution, low cross-contamination, and high selectivity.

Currently two grades of Zetadex are available for use in the CentriPure product line: Zetadex-25 and Zetadex-50. These have distinct separation characteristics due to their different degrees of cross-linking.

  • Zetadex-25 size exclusion or molecular weight cut-off (MWCO): 5 kD for proteins and 10 bases for nucleic acids.
  • Zetadex-50 size exclusion or molecular weight cut-off (MWCO): 25 kD for proteins and 20 bases for nucleic acids.

CentriPure columns

CentriPure columns process fixed sample volumes and elute with a 1.5-fold dilution.

CentriPure MINI columns

Unique conical column for greater separation. Sterile, hydrated and ready for use with various buffer systems. Removes up to 99.999% salts, dyes, haptens and other small molecules.

CentriPure column arrays

The 96-array supports 300 µL and 500 µL sample sizes in a standard SLAS-format for high-throughput applications.

CentriPure MIDI columns

Unique adapter, hydrated and ready to use. Removes up to 99.99% salts, haptens and dye-terminated samples.

CentriPure plates

The 96- and 384-well plates in a standard SLAS-format for high throughput are ideal for small volumes.

ZetaSep desalting columns

Ideal for buffer exchange or desalting after purifying your biomolecule on an FPLC system.
– allows easy monitoring of the desalting process.
– sample size: approx. 200 μl for 1 ml column, 1 ml volume for 5 ml column
– processing method: flow under pressure up to 3 bar
